Especially since the other homeowners on the block keep their houses in good condition. I've reported this property to our City Council Rep., Safety and Permits, and the City Building Inspector. Although a stop work order was put on the property, someone began working on it again a few weeks ago, I believe illegally. Unfortunately, when the city does respond to a complaint, the follow up is feeble at best. This sort of thing is happening all over the city, not just in our neighborhood. I don't know what we can do about this sort of thing, except keep reporting it. I'm thankful that no other surrounding buildings were damaged in the fire, and that the fire dept. responded as quickly as they did. This property is a real nuisance.
